Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to nursing staff.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses.
Qualifications
- Current and active Texas CNA License (or equivalent state certification).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment under pressure.
