Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist registered nurses with medical procedures, treatments, and medication administration under supervision.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's condition to the nursing staff and physicians immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Document patient care plans and daily progress notes accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of New Mexico.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment during night shifts.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
