Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and equipment.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) following strict safety protocols.
- Maintain strict infection control and sterilization standards for all instruments and surfaces.
- Greet patients, confirm appointments, and provide pre-operative and post-operative instructions.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order materials as needed.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and dental health products.
Qualifications
- Current Washington State Dental Assistant License or equivalent certification.
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
- One to two years of clinical experience in a dental setting preferred.
- Proficiency in dental software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control (OSHA compliance).
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform fine motor tasks.
