Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, during night rounds.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming in a dignified manner.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients who may be awake during the night shift.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the registered nurse.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and care logs.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergencies during the night.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of California.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently during shifts.
- Previous experience in geriatric care or hospital settings is preferred.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitized environment.
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts as required.
