Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, to ensure patient comfort and hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, including transferring them from beds to wheelchairs or walking with walkers.
- Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, or surgeries, ensuring they are comfortable and positioned correctly.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses, following strict safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care delivery.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or state certification is required; entry-level candidates with a strong desire to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients of all ages.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
