Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and report any abnormalities to the Registered Nurse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and staff, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State of Ohio Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
