Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming, while maintaining patient dignity.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team and patients' families regarding changes in patient condition.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Document all patient care activities and observations in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients during their hospital stay.
Qualifications
- Current and active Washington State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist patients with mobility needs.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are mandatory.
