Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Maintain precise medication inventory and ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing inquiries
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Ensure strict compliance with FDA, DEA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Assist with medication therapy management and patient education
- Utilize pharmacy software for prescription processing and record-keeping
Qualifications
- Active PTCB or ExCPT certification required
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Knowledge of pharmacy law, regulations, and ethical standards
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., Omnicell, QS1)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
