Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage prescription processing workflow including order entry and verification
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Operate pharmacy software systems and automated dispensing equipment
- Inventory management and medication ordering protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of sterile compounding procedures preferred
