Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to OSHA standards
- Handle surgical equipment and sterilization processes
- Document procedural steps and inventory usage
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience
- BLS/CPR certification
- Experience with major surgical specialties (ortho, neuro, general)
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call shifts
- Strong attention to detail and sterile technique
- Valid Hawaii state license
