Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Mobility Assistance: Safely assist patients with transfers, walking, and positioning to prevent falls and discomfort.
- Hygiene & Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, ensuring linens and equipment are sanitized.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient changes and needs to the nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members.
- Documentation: Complete accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) as required.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active Florida CNA Certification (CNA I) required.
- Training: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNA or in a similar healthcare role preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as needed, and stand for extended periods.
