Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, patient intake and output, and changes in medical conditions.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and visitors.
- Document patient care plans, observations, and any changes in patient status in accordance with facility policy.
- Follow strict infection control protocols and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid California CNA License (CNAL) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, LTC, or acute care setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical duties associated with patient care.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for travel between facilities, if applicable).
