Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with mobility and safely transfer patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment to prevent infection and promote comfort.
- Document patient progress and any changes in condition immediately.
Qualifications
- Current, valid CNA or LPN license in the State of Illinois.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient dignity.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist with lifting patients.
