Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time and report any changes in health or behavior to the supervisor.
- Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversations, accompany them to appointments, and provide emotional support.
- Light Housekeeping: Assist with light meal preparation, laundry, and light cleaning to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious and appetizing meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Track and record daily vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight as required.
- Transportation: Provide safe transportation to and from social outings, medical appointments, and errands.
Qualifications
- Valid Certification: Must hold a current CNA, HHA, or Caregiver certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days).
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or personal care is preferred but not required.
- CPR/First Aid: Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and families.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist clients of varying weights for extended periods.
- Empathy: A genuine, compassionate, and patient attitude towards the elderly or disabled population.
