Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and develop accurate diagnostic images
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of instruments/equipment
- Take detailed dental impressions and fabricate temporary crowns
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials efficiently for seamless workflow
- Educate patients on post-procedure care and oral hygiene best practices
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and inventory management
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program certification (CODA or RDA preferred)
- Current California Dental Assistant license and X-ray certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft/DEXIS practice management software
- Exceptional chairside manners and patient communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Strong attention to detail and infection control compliance
