Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery and restorative treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital X-ray technology
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilize equipment per OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient patient flow
- Perform administrative tasks including appointment scheduling and patient education
- Monitor inventory and order dental supplies to maintain optimal clinic operations
- Assist in emergency situations with calm professionalism and precise execution
Qualifications
- Current Texas Dental Assistant Radiology certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a general dentistry setting
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or DentalSoft practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification from an accredited provider
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to HIPAA compliance
- High school diploma or equivalent with relevant technical training
