Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgery
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suction management, and patient monitoring
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Maintain strict sterilization protocols for all instruments and equipment
- Manage patient scheduling and digital charting in Eaglesoft software
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal infection control standards
- Deliver pre/post-op instructions with exceptional patient education skills
Qualifications
- Minnesota Dental Assistant License (or eligible for reciprocity)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Certification in Dental Radiography (DANB or equivalent)
- Proficiency with digital imaging systems and Eaglesoft software
- CPR/BLS certification (current or obtainable within 30 days)
- Exceptional communication skills for diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance protocols
