Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during patient examinations and procedures with chairside support.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials according to established protocols.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
  • Manage infection control procedures, including sterilization of instruments and maintaining a clean clinical environment.
  • Guide patients through dental procedures and provide post-operative instructions.
  • Order and manage dental supplies and inventory.
  • Process patient insurance claims and handle front desk administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent on-the-job training.
  • Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Dental Assistant Registered (DAR) preferred.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
  • Valid state license to practice dental assisting.
