Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during patient examinations and treatment procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
- Greet patients and manage patient intake, ensuring accurate medical history records.
- Provide post-operative instructions and oral hygiene education to patients.
- Manage front desk reception duties, including scheduling appointments and answering phones.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) is a plus.
