Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during exams, fillings, and oral surgeries
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision
- Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Manage patient records using advanced dental software
- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
- Coordinate with insurance companies and billing specialists
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or NY state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a busy dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Excellent chairside manner and patient communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- New York State Dental Radiology certification required
