Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Manage patient flow, ensuring efficient scheduling and minimal wait times
- Perform sterilization protocols and maintain HIPAA-compliant records
- Take digital radiographs and assist with diagnostic imaging
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for optimal clinical efficiency
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene procedures
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification in Virginia
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft/Dentrix software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Strong attention to detail and infection control expertise
