Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Take accurate dental radiographs and develop high-quality diagnostic images
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilize instruments using OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal operatory efficiency
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Maintain accurate digital dental records using Dentrix software
- Coordinate seamless patient flow between hygiene and treatment areas
Qualifications
- Current Florida Dental Assistant Radiology certification (DAEF)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB preferred
- Proficiency in digital radiography and dental software
- Exceptional chairside assisting skills for all procedures
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
