Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and ensure proper image quality
- Implement strict infection control protocols and sterilization techniques
- Manage patient flow and prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour models for prosthetics
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education on oral hygiene
- Maintain digital patient records and practice management software
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant certification or RDA license
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a general dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis/Sirona) and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification from an accredited provider
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and OSHA standards
