Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures, including instrument handling and suction management
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and care
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft and digital imaging systems
- Administer topical anesthetics and fluoride treatments as directed
- Ensure operatory cleanliness and inventory management of dental supplies
- Provide exceptional patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and dental software (Eaglesoft/Dentrix)
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
