Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures by explaining treatments and taking vital signs
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical operations
- Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems
- Oversee inventory and ordering of dental supplies
- Deliver patient education on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
- Coordinate seamlessly with front desk staff for patient flow optimization
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant certification (RDA or EFDA preferred)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification with current provider status
- Excellent chairside manner and patient communication skills
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental board regulations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in high-volume practice
- Spanish bilingual skills highly valued
