Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation, suctioning, and four-handed dentistry
- Perform digital radiography and intraoral imaging with precision and patient comfort
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control procedures per OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal instrument/equipment readiness
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour study models
- Deliver post-procedure instructions and patient education materials
- Maintain digital patient records in practice management software
Qualifications
- Ohio Dental Assistant Radiology certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Dental Assisting Diploma or Associate's degree preferred
- CPR certification and current BLS training
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft or Dentrix practice management systems
- Exceptional chairside manner and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and infection control discipline
- Ability to manage multiple patient appointments efficiently
