Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation, suction, and patient monitoring
- Take and develop dental X-rays with digital imaging technology
- Perform sterilization and infection control protocols (OSHA compliance)
- Manage patient scheduling and appointment coordination
- Prepare treatment rooms and dental materials efficiently
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and aftercare
- Maintain accurate digital dental records and inventory management
Qualifications
- Minnesota Dental Assistant certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical dental assisting experience
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft practice management software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards
- Flexible availability including occasional evenings
