Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral photographs.
- Explain post-operative instructions and oral hygiene care to patients.
- Manage patient records and maintain accurate dental inventory.
- Monitor patient vitals and comfort levels throughout appointments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Dental Assisting certification preferred.
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred.
- Proficient in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess a current CPR/BLS certification.
