Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and clinical areas for dental procedures, ensuring optimal sterilization protocols
- Assist dentists during treatments including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic procedures
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and patient comfort
- Manage patient records using Dentrix/Epic software and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and inventory management for dental supplies
- Provide post-operative instructions and emergency care support
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant certification and X-ray license
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental software (Dentrix/Epic preferred)
- CPR/BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments
