Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and examination rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during treatments, including instrument handling and suction
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control procedures
- Perform administrative tasks including scheduling and record management
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification in Washington DC
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- CDA or RDA certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of dental instruments and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- CPR certification required
