Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with 4-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
- Perform chair-side assisting duties, including suctioning, rinsing, and handing instruments.
- Guide patients through their dental experience, ensuring comfort and explaining procedures clearly.
- Manage patient records and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Order and maintain dental supplies and inventory levels.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Dental Assistant License (RDA) in the state of Texas.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Proficiency in dental radiography and exposure techniques.
- Strong knowledge of infection control procedures and OSHA standards.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, patient-centric attitude.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
