Responsibilities
- Assist the lead dentist and hygienists during examinations and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials prior to patient appointments.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and digital images according to safety protocols.
- Perform chairside assisting duties, including mixing materials and managing suction.
- Strictly adhere to infection control and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and verify insurance information accurately.
- Greet patients warmly, explain procedures, and ensure a comfortable and professional experience.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program (CDA preferred, GDA accepted).
- Current BLS (CPR) and First Aid certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by the practice schedule.
