Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist and hygienist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized treatment room.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and handle insurance verification and billing inquiries.
- Greet patients warmly, manage check-in/check-out processes, and ensure a smooth patient flow.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and sterilization standards (OSHA compliance).
- Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene techniques.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting program (preferred).
- Current state licensure (RDA) or certification as a Dental Assistant in Wisconsin.
- CPR and BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required.
- Experience with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
