Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument setup and patient preparation
- Take and develop dental X-rays following safety protocols
- Manage sterilization and infection control for all dental instruments
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain optimal patient flow
- Update patient records using practice management software
- Provide post-procedure care instructions to patients
- Order inventory and manage supply chain for dental materials
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior dental experience necessary
- Basic computer literacy for patient record systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Valid CPR certification (provided if not held)
- New Jersey X-ray certification training included
- Background check and drug screen required
