Responsibilities
- Assist the Dentist: Provide chair-side assistance during examinations and procedures.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort before and after treatments.
- Preparation: Prepare operatory rooms, sterilize instruments, and set up tray setups.
- Diagnostic Support: Take and process dental X-rays (training provided) and maintain patient records.
- Lab Work: Prepare impressions, temporary crowns, and perform other basic lab tasks as needed.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to OSHA and CDC safety guidelines to maintain a sterile environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required; Dental Assistant certification is a plus but not mandatory for the training program.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, professional demeanor.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable attendance is essential.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and ability to follow instructions precisely.
