Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental X-rays with proper radiation safety protocols
- Manage patient records and digital charting systems
- Perform infection control procedures following OSHA guidelines
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide monitoring
- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DA, RDA, or EFDA preferred)
- X-ray certification valid in California
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix software
- CPR/BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
