Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and patient comfort focus
- Manage patient flow, charting, and digital records using Eaglesoft software
- Provide chairside assistance and four-handed dentistry support
- Administer local anesthetics and nitrous oxide under dentist supervision
- Train new staff on clinic protocols and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and dental imaging systems
- CPR/BLS certification with current expiration
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment with exceptional time management
- Excellent communication skills and chairside manner
- Experience with Eaglesoft software preferred
