Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment following OSHA protocols
- Manage patient records and digital charting using Dentrix/Epic software
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide under dentist supervision
- Ensure operatory sterilization and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow and educate on post-treatment care
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or DANB eligible
- Minimum 2 years chairside experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and dental software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient communication
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume practice
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Georgia dental radiology permit preferred
