Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to strict protocols.
- Take and develop dental x-rays (radiographs) as directed by the dentist.
- Perform basic lab duties, including impression taking and temporary crown fabrication.
- Manage patient records and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinic environment.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or graduation from an accredited dental assisting program.
- California Radiology Certificate and Infection Control permit.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Valid CPR/BLS certification.
