Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and dental equipment for patient procedures
- Assist dentists during complex procedures using advanced imaging tools
- Take and develop dental radiographs with our digital X-ray systems
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control procedures
- Administer patient comfort measures and chairside assistance
- Maintain digital patient records using Dentrix software
- Coordinate inventory of dental supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and intraoral cameras
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards
- Excellent communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Current CPR certification
- Valid Louisiana dental assisting license
