Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform digital radiography and intraoral imaging with precision
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control compliance
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain optimal inventory levels
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene procedures
- Coordinate seamless appointment scheduling and patient flow
- Assist in maintaining accurate dental records using Dentrix software
Qualifications
- Current NYS Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and sterilization systems
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Excellent chairside manner and patient communication skills
- Experience with practice management software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- CPR/BLS certification required
