Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and cosmetic treatments
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suction, and four-handed dentistry
- Execute digital X-rays and intraoral imaging with precision
- Maintain strict OSHA compliance in sterilization and infection control protocols
- Manage patient flow: charting, scheduling, and post-op care instructions
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
- Train new staff on clinical workflows and practice standards
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA required
- 2+ years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Mastery of digital radiography (DEXIS, Sopro)
- Expertise in infection control protocols and sterilization techniques
- Exceptional chairside assisting skills for multi-procedure cases
- Strong patient communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft or DentalEZ practice management software
