Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including implants and restorations
- Perform dental radiography and digital imaging with precision
- Manage patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide oxide monitoring
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize clinical efficiency
- Train new staff on practice protocols and technologies
Qualifications
- Current NYS Dental Assistant certification required
- Minimum 3 years of chairside experience in cosmetic dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft and Dexis imaging systems
- Expanded Functions certification (EFDA) preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for diverse patient demographics
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
