Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify orders for safety
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Process insurance claims and manage third-party billing systems
- Maintain compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical initiatives and patient care
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell) for daily operations
Qualifications
- Active Nevada Pharmacy Technician license or eligibility
- Prior retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication skills for patient interactions
- Proficiency with pharmacy management systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain
