Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments using standardized triage protocols
- Prioritize patient cases based on acuity levels and department capacity
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to develop treatment plans
- Document clinical observations and patient histories with precision
- Provide clear communication to patients regarding wait times and care expectations
- Maintain emergency department supplies and equipment readiness
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Alaska RN license (compact state license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to work day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
