Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with respect and patience.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their medications on time and report any changes in health to the supervisor immediately.
- Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversations, hobbies, and recreational activities to improve their mental well-being and reduce isolation.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients to ensure a healthy home atmosphere.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and social outings as needed.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record basic vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature, as required.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a CNA, HHA, or Caregiver is preferred but not required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Licensure: Current Texas state certification (CNA/HHA) is a plus but not mandatory.
- CPR Certification: Must possess current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on empathy.
- Compassion: Genuine desire to help others and a patient, empathetic nature are essential.
