Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, while maintaining the client's dignity and privacy.
- Assist with mobility, including transferring patients to and from bed or wheelchair with proper techniques.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary restrictions.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with light errands and light housekeeping as needed.
- Offer emotional support and companionship through conversation and engaging activities.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client's physical or mental health condition to the supervisor immediately.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and records of care provided.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
- CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred.
