- Accurately code medical diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS standards
- Submit and track claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies through follow-up communication
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare billing standards
- Generate billing reports and analyze accounts receivable metrics
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure documentation completeness
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with insurance claim processing
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare, and commercial insurance regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
