Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Provide compassionate personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance, to clients in their homes.
- Medication Management: Monitor and remind clients to take prescribed medications on time, ensuring adherence to their health regimens.
- Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversations, activities, and hobbies to reduce loneliness and improve mental well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Assist with light meal preparation, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, and errands using a personal vehicle.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Regularly check and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature as directed by a nurse.
- Crisis Support: Respond calmly to emergency situations and follow established protocols to ensure client safety.
Qualifications
- Certification Required: Valid State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) license is required.
- CPR & First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in home care or a related healthcare field.
- Valid License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable personal transportation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work independently.
