Responsibilities
- Accurately code diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS systems
- Manage insurance claim submissions and follow-ups for optimal reimbursement
- Conduct denial analysis and implement resolution strategies
- Perform account receivables aging and collections processes
- Collaborate with clinical teams to clarify documentation discrepancies
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and data security protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential required
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient/physician settings
- Expert knowledge of CMS guidelines and insurance regulations
